Good Thing There’s Sunblock
Went out of town with our dad and my brother and his gf. Yeba!
Where: Davao City and nearby places
When: 23-25 Jan 2012
Why: WALA LANG! w00t!
- In just three days, I ate lots of awesome food enough to feed me for one week! I still don’t like durian, though.
- I got to pet a MONTH-OLD tiger cub. DAMN.
- Watched NatGeo during rest times. Renewed interest in Bruce Lee. Dude, y u so hot?!
- Suddenly, I miss having cable at home.
- Jet skied at Pearl Farm. I feel so badass. The place is very nice, indeed.
- Saw Pag-asa the eagle (who just turned 20 *gasp!*) all grown-up now. I remember seeing him on TV when he was just a hatchling! *sniff*
- Realized I still feel bad seeing animals in cages, even if it’s for the preservation of their species. I don’t know how to deal with this exactly. *sigh*
- Gone bowling with my bro and his gf. Guess who won? :3 Maybe I have a future in bowling, haha!
- (Not pictured) Tricycles in Davao City are so cool; they’re like mini-jeepneys.
- (Always pictured) My shaky hands. If I plan to take even half-decent photos in the future, I absolutely must bring a bleeding tripod!
- Nakalimutan ko na! Ang dami!
Overall a very enjoyable trip. Bitin masyado!
100 Art Themes: #35: Hold My Hand
I got into both Lovely Complex and Ico only recently and I think they’re pretty awesome in their own ways. One couple reminded me of the other, so…

(This is part of the 100 Themes Art Challenge! Cheating. Again. Ugh! Because I’m supposed to be doing the challenge in chronological order and here I go posting fan art and passing it off as an entry when truth be told the entry thing is just an afterthought but hey–)
Art Jam: Underwater
I was raging so hard about the recent Google Reader fiasco that I forgot to upload my art jam entry for the underwater theme. Here it is!
I decided against including the cheesy title because I felt its existence could ruin my reputation and my life forever. BUT. I think you could figure it out yourselves. Heh.
I Hate Google Right Now.
See, the Google “product” I love and use the most is Google Reader (heck, my main e-mail account’s in GMail and I still love GReader more), and one of its parts that I always look forward to reading the most is my friends’ shared items. It’s so easy to share and check out stuff in one page!
Now that they’ve taken that out in favor of sharing stuff in mothereffing G+, you have to export your previously shared items in a bookmark format if you even want to see them. So this means what? We’re not able to see our friends’ shared items in GReader anymore! If they choose to share something, you’ll have to go to G+ to see them!
Damn it. They HAD to nerf Google Reader. FOR WHAT? FOR G+?!
Why didn’t they just leave GReader alone?!
SCREW G+!

My Next Piece Will Have A Cheesy Title
Been home sick for 2 days already, ugh. Spent ridiculously long stretches of time sleeping/recuperating, and I started working on my next art jam entry between those journeys to dreamland. Below I share with you some intentionally ambiguous shots of my work-in-progress because right now I’m really bored out of my wits.
You can also check out works by the other, ahem, art jammers (hehe) here! Finally, a group page! XD I’m telling you, my co-workers are an awesome, impressive bunch and they are miles (or kilometers haha) ahead of me when it comes to drawing talent and creativity. I am a big fan of theirs, can you tell? You definitely should check them out. Peace out, brotha.
100 Art Themes: #14: Smile
This is also my entry for the “evil” art jam theme.
(This is part of the 100 Themes Art Challenge)
Monkey Around
It happens to most of us, right? You get started on something, you take so long to complete it, you lose interest eventually. Happened to me recently. My latest casualty: an interactive Flash entry for #14: Smile (100 Themes Art Challenge).
I’m going to produce another Smile piece very soon, something that will also serve as my art jam entry for Evil due this coming Monday. I cheat because I’m evil! Mwahahaha! *cough cough*
I’m Not Sure What This Is, Either
While thinking of evil stuff, this thing popped into my head and just won’t leave me alone until I put it down somewhere real quick. So I put it down. Here. Real quick. Here it is.
Art Jam: Fantasy Self-Portrait
For the art jam, we had to draw ourselves in a fantasy setting. Here’s my entry!
